Nova Literary-Arts Magazine

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Nova Literary-Arts Magazine is open annually from the third Monday in August to the last Sunday in November. Our annual issue releases in early April, at which point we publish it on our website and print 2,000 copies. If a piece of yours is selected for publication, we will mail you a copy free of charge.

Nova is a production of student staff at the Student Niner Media department of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

We consider:

  • up to three pieces of short fiction, with up to 5,000 words, each
  • up to ten pieces of poetry, up to five pages in length
  • up to fifteen pieces of visual artwork

All pieces should clearly include the title of the work and the author's name.

All short fiction should be double-spaced, in a standard, 12-point font.

The poet’s printing of the work will be the assumed format, should the piece be accepted for publication.
